Therapy Options for Teens

Sometimes self help strategies simply are not enough! If you have been working for a while on your own to improve mentall wellness, but it doesn't seem to be working, it might be time to seek some professional help, such as:

- School counselors!

School counselors are a great place to start since they are free and easily available.

- Local mental health centers or clinics funded by federal and state governments

Many communtities have free mental wellenss clinics! Just search on google or go to:

- Hospitals

Some hospitals offer low cost (or even free) mental health resources. Call your local hospital to find out.

- Students at colleges or universities

Students studying to become psychologists will often offer free or low cost therapy sessions (call around to local universities or look on their websites).

- Private therapists

This is obviously the most expensive option, but can be the most effective as licensed therapists have years of training and can understand best how to help you.
