What is emotional wellness?
-“Emotional wellness inspires self-care, relaxation, stress reduction and the development of inner strength. It is important to be attentive to both positive and negative feelings and be able to understand how to handle these emotions.” (shcs.ucdavis.edu)
Once you identify and accept all positive and negative emotions, you can find the cause of the negative emotions and establish a response. In turn, being emotionally well grants you the opportunity to feel any emotion without constraints. This will allow you to develop meaningful and interdependent relationships
So how do you become emotionally well? There are a few key things to do when working towards mental wellness including:
Always stay positive
Smile
Seek professional help (through therapists- see other blog post)
Employ gratitude
Increase awareness through meditation
